By popular demand, a general request meme for MSPA, at long last. Have an idea you want to see drawn or written? This is the place to ask. Both romantic (of any kind, het or slash) and general prompts are accepted. Reply to those comments with art or fic or comics or pesterlogs!

Put characters or pairings or whatever in the subject line of your comment, it makes for easy scanning. If you are here to request something for our musicians, put [MUSIC] in instead.

> No, you do NOT need to sign up for Livejournal to submit prompts or fill them.
> You may comment signed in or anonymously. Anonymous is actually preferred when prompting to keep the spirit of this kind of meme, but anything goes for fills (since you might want to put your name to your work, and that's cool).
> For every request you make, try to fill someone else's.
> Requests can be filled more than once.
> This meme is SAFE FOR WORK. Graphic sex and violence--and other potentially offensive things people may feel nervous about having on their browsing history--is not allowed and will be screened/deleted. This being an offsite meme, restrictions are much more relaxed than the forums; referencing the act is fine with me, just be sensible and don't go into detail and we will be 0k.
> This meme is also primarily about Homestuck canon! There are a lot of talented people with really cool original characters and fan adventures lurking around, but unfortunately this is not the place to request fanart or music for them. Again, this is a flexible rule. Speculative work, like Lands that do not exist in the story yet, or imp prototypings, or some random black carapace guys hanging out in Derse, or Sollux's sadly non-canon bee-bear lusus are fine. Try to make it look like it's connected to Homestuck at least and you won't get beaned, basically.
> Be nice, have fun.

Use this code instead of a regular img src tag to make it appear on the page. You no longer need to link your fanart!

Crossover-writing anon here:

Okay, I'm limiting the cast to eight because that's between four and twelve, so I want to ask the OP if there's any contributers they would be upset not to see.

Definitely being included: Linkara, Nostalgia Critic, Nostalgia Chick, Luke Mochrie (shut up, he's adorable), and Bennet the Sage.

Nepeta + Equius + Vriska

from: anonymous

Suppose Nepeta didn't listen to Equius when he told her not to get involved with FLARP. Suppose Nepeta then ended up in the clutches of someone dangerous. Vriska, perhaps. Now suppose that Equius ended up dead protecting Nepeta from Vriska.

What are the repercussions?

Like a lot of Homestuckers, my headcanon is that Karkat's horns are super sensitive.
Probably so sensitive that if Karkat were to walk into something and end up banging one of his horns, it would hurt like a fothermucker and it would need special medical attention from, say, a certain bucktoothed human or maybe a stoned-out-of-his-mind clown.

I don't mind who he's paired with, those are just my preferences. Fluff, smut, whatever, I will actually worship anyone who fills this vague and stupid prompt.

Summoner and Tavros

from: anonymous
date: Sep. 13th, 2011 07:43 pm (UTC)

Summoner gives Tavros some sort of advice/help. Dating advice, confidence advice, ill rhyming advice, horn advice (as in how to make doing things, like getting in a recooperacoon, putting shirts on, etc. easier) Or just anything else that Tavros sucks at.

**Not all of those things need to be included! One is perfectly fine.

If possible, have Tavros try to put the advice he receives into action. Whether he fails or succeeds is your choice.
If you chose dating advice, I'm fine with any pairing that isn't completely crack

Notes: The setting is essentially a sunshine land, where everything is candy and rainbows and no details about lack of raging homicide and bunnies.

"Amaze me," Gamzee said, "Go on, make your magic. Breathe."

"Hmm." Step and step and step. What a way to move, pretty-poised as she looked at him from all the front angles as he sat on the horn pile, all the time keeping that tiny smile on her face, sweet and sharp. "I just don't know, Gamzee."

"Nah, chica, you wanna breathe. Always a good idea. Do it with me, now." He held out his hands in an invitation to pull her close; Rose stayed cool and raised just one of her eyebrows, miraculous, but you had to help out friends, so he began to conduct. "Out, out, in."

"It's coming back to me. I'm saved."

"That's the way, sister."

"Considering all this interest, it's rather a surprise that we never engaged over our respective chat clients," she said, "Or rather, it would be if I didn't have strong suspicions about why this is our first conversation. Did you notice that we humans existed at all and that a fair number of your compatriots were engaged with trolling us?"

Gamzee laughed, because that was some sweet aim Rose had going. "It took me a while to get my notice on about all that. There was enough to be getting used to being with all of my friends, and getting my chill on after all that running round and getting down to the murdermirth with all like the imps and kings and demons. Kicking it with all my bitches and brothers in the horn pile was about it for what I wanted to be dealing with."

"I can't say the sentiment doesn't resonate to a certain extent." She turned away from him to take a look around the room, and that made him scope the place out too. It was getting to be hot in the computer room with all sixteen of just about everybody in the universe laying down sweet noise, beautifully happy.

"But the magic I performed to help make our way here caught your interest," Rose said. "And so you decided to approach me, with what are, of course, entirely sincere overtures of friendship."

"Oh, chica, it blew my mind. Out of all the shit I see any day that is too beautiful to get... You raising your arms and face, and your belief like it's a thing to hold, not even caring to worry about all that ground breaking underneath you and your best friend posse..."

"Didn't I?" Her voice stayed all steady - like she didn't notice him sniffling, which was pretty nice of her.

"Motherfucking beautiful," Gamzee said, kind of explaining even though she hadn't asked him to, and gave her a grin. "And you sure didn't look anything close to the worrying kind."

Rose's eyes narrowed some. "Is it just the magic that fascinates you?" she said. "Not if what you said before is honestly to be believed. I have my doubts. How entertaining breathing really be?"

"Get down to it, and it might be the most entertaining thing there could be! It drops a stop in front of anything else that could be a good time, if you go around not breathing."

"You cannot be serious on any level," she kind of asked but without asking, mostly by laughing. And you could hardly even tell. Wow.

"It's not something I'm making a habit of. I like to keep shit whimsical, you know? That's my jam." He pounded a fist over his heart.

"Stoner humour is a concept I'm familiar with in passing," she said, a little bit of distant, like she was snatching up thoughts off the top her mindflow, so he sat up and listened right to what she laid down so plain. "What I've gathered of it has never particularly appealed to me, though. You're a veritable living parody and yet--" you could almost think she was frustrated or disbelieving, way behind her face where she meant it, "--you seem so genuine."

"Every word I'm saying is straight from me to you," said Gamzee, pressing fingertips to his chest and then holding them out to her, reassuring as shit if he said so himself. "Straight up between us two."

"I just called you a joke, you know."

"Aw fuck, my motherfucking miracle worker, is that what you see? Straight up? Hey, no, you keep on smiling."

There had been a slight tight move to Rose's pretty smile, but she stopped it at his reassurance. She tilted her head the other way like a mark to the occasion, still watching him as if he was an endless spiral of colour and all the light of the suns in all the universe she could see by. Well, why not?

"That is what I see, I suppose." She watched him though he wasn't even doing anything, and a little thoughtfully, she added, "Straight up, from me to you."

"Chica," he said, hearing the rumble-squeak of his wandering, breaking voice going a little hoarse, "that's the biggest compliment I've ever got! Since last time my best motherfucking friend Karkat said it!"

Rose stopped walking. She put her head in her hand. "You are so easily amused!"

"That's how it, is, sister! Best way to be having a real bitchtits time any kinda place you might all be in."

"Here's a secret." Rose looked up, and he really was getting to like getting to know that smile. "I believe I know exactly what you mean."

A voice called to them from across the room; the other human that had her kind of colouring. "Rose, I take back what I said that one time about how it would be hilarious to see you and the juggalo interacting. What would your mother and your Seventeen magazines have to say about this? It's social suicide. And oh my god I am dying here, ICP, why would you tolerate that."

"My mother bought me a lifetime subscription to Seventeen for my birthday," Rose said. "And the entire discography of the Jonas brothers; then, later, with an apology for her callous oversight, the same discography as covered in a series of remixes featuring Harry and the Potters vs. Draco and the Malfoys. I think she had to assassinate key people in the music industry, and the upshot is, don't ask me to care about modern music, Dave."

"You also sent me some of the Bowie and jazz she gave you. Not exactly my jams but I will still give respect, she made up for her crimes."

"That music isn't much to my taste, but it's not ludicrously hyper-stylised to supposedly match it, either. I am still trying to figure that one out." She looked away from Gamzee for the first time since Dave had begun to talk. "Do you mind? I'm having a conversation." And she promptly looked back, and Gamzee blinked, surprised by the sear of having her focus renewed.

"Wooaaoaoaah," he said appreciatively. "That Seer shit is for real."

She got a hitch in the hold of her body, like holding that idea away from her. Then she threw it back to him. "You think so? That my game-given title suits me."

"Maybe if I had time I could be thinking up a better one, but chica, I got to say you're living up to it. Yeah, like that," he said as she came round to his left side and met his gaze in a way that had extra intensity all over it.

They both got a little jump going at the next voice blasted their way. Karkat was stomping over. "What is all this odd couple horseshit going on? At least I haven't had to pry Eridan off you, Lalonde - yet - but the sheer incongruity the two of you are bringing to the table is such an irritant to the sponge puzzle that it's almost as bad as Serket versus Harley."

"We're engaged in mutual analysis," said Rose, "it's absolutely fascinating."

"Mutual?" said Karkat, and exchanged a look with Gamzee of having no motherfucking idea what that meant.

"Hmm," said Rose, and waved a hand at him while looking at Karkat. "Does he often act innocent when it comes to statements like that?"

"It's Gamzee," said Karkat. "'Acting' upright and coherent is about as good as it gets."

"Hmm," said Rose with all serious kinds of emphasis, and looked back to Gamzee complicit-like.

"What the fuck ever. I'm going to deal with the rest of this clusterfuck, you two stay immensely bizarre and out of the way. Gamzee, I'm getting Kanaya to make a doll if you need to show me later where the therapist tentacled you."

"Humans have got tentacles?" Gamzee asked Rose, awed.

"To what anyone who knows me would call my deep-seated regret, no, we don't."

"That would have been fucking wicked."

"Oh, I must concur wholeheartedly."

"Not that you all aren't already. There's all kinds of motherfucking little pink miracles about all of you. --Shit, are you going to laugh?"

"No," Rose said firmly. He could tell they'd been close, and beamed at her. There was nothing better in a friendship than the first laugh. Maybe the first almost-laugh counted too.

Rose took to walking the crescent round him again, like other angles would be any help at all in getting what was right in front of her. "Should I really try to figure out what you mean? Should anyone? If I do start understanding it would probably be a clear sign to stop drinking the Kool-Aid."

"I'm not that much of a miracle, my Seer sister. I'm pretty easy not to have to understand." It was made of amazement the way her eyebrows got all worked up and down when she didn't get things. "C'mere."

She came over, sinking to her haunches to get on level with him, and he leaned forwards over his crossed legs and cupped her cheeks. His hands stroked over the softness of pink skin - and it got red in the clear-veined human way that could make you sigh at the strangeness. Strange could be perfect, it turned out, and he felt happiness rise up in him at knowing, believing it could be this way. Miracles.

"That's it. S'all. I'm down with the simple shit, like breathing."

Redder. Reddest. Humans all had blood that was bright like that. That meant Rose was blushing, and yeah, this was pretty much his hands having got real close and personal on her.

"Oh, uh..." Gamzee's own face got hotter than he could remember it being. He dropped his hands over his legs and tucked them away under the knees. "Sorry, chica. That right there was me not thinking. Didn't mean to get all, uh, up in your grill like that."

"And yet there you were. I must take careful note, you understand, for any future interactions. Danger: Makara gets handsy. Avoid at all costs if you value your personal bubble."

Gamzee skipped a breath, that strictest beat of all, he was so upset. "Aw, chica, no. I'll be keeping these motherfuckers to myself. For real, at all costs?"

"Maybe," she said.

Maybe she meant that. She wasn't smiling like she'd been almost the whole time they'd talked, that secret curl to the corners of her mouth and eyes - she still looked knocked off course a bit.

Rose was looking him right in the eye, though, staying at his level still. Maybe she was seeing something that she wanted to, or maybe she wanted to see what there was?

"We could be getting to know each other," said Gamzee. "You and me and all these other brothers and sisters - oh, hey, you'll be wanting to talk to our own terror-princess sister Feferi, there, she's believing like the way you do. And I--" He drew his hands away from his knees and held them behind his back. "Best behaviour, I swear it."

"We'll see," she said, getting up, and then she was back to that same face she'd worn the whole time. A smirk to say goodbye and she strode off, soldier-priestess, like she still believed and always would, deep down, that everything could break under her feet and she wouldn't need to care.

A while later Karkat came back. No doll, though, which could've been sort of cute. "You are grinning like an asshole and staring right at her, a girl whose existence you've been aware of for half-an-hour, if that's not granting you too much credit. Gamzee, what the fuck is this?"

"Shit, best friend, I don't even know." Rose was all smiling, talk-talk-talking over by Kanaya, getting more hugs than she knew what to do with from the black-haired humans, and knowing that he was looking at her. It was easy to tell. Gamzee sighed and grinned. "I think we're both going have fun figuring it out."

Rose<3 Gamzee, 1/2, not ... quite ... at all fitting the prompt, but...

from: anonymous
date: Sep. 13th, 2011 09:13 pm (UTC)

so that was the sweet and fluffy

let's have the god-awful.

I'm sorry, but instantly after the prompt made me go '...aaww', it then made me start thinking 'AAAHH'.

Gamzee started out watching the play of her power across the sky. Then he began to watch her, no matter what she shaped this fragment of the universe to be, deepest colours and vivid shadows, and Rose couldn't help but feel flattered.

Something must have given her away. He sat up, arms stretched behind him to prop him up on the hillside grass, and earnestly told her, "Chica, you put hearts and stars in my eyes."

Perhaps he'd watched too many cartoons when he'd still been allowed access to computers and had developed a mildly skewed understanding of human courtship. Or had the cultural associations of those symbols developed in parallel for humans and trolls?

Rose drifted a little closer to him. "That can't be healthy."

He tilted his head and grinned briefly. "Could you do it? Couldn't that be as amotherfuckingmazingas anything you can think of?"

"The point, Gamzee. It's a concept that we've discussed at length, if you recall. What would be the point?"

"Then I couldn't see you smile." (She knew he loved her smile.) "And I and I wouldn't have to be scared at all."

His voice was so even it could be hard to believe he felt a thing; the fluctuations happened with decreased frequency of late, which might be a good sign. It made him seem more as if he waited to feel, hunched, ready and hungry to stuff emotion into his mouth. Still, there was something about his expression and the slump of hisshoulders that looked wistful.

Rose smoothed her skirt, and her gaze hooked on the contrast of her grey arm against the backdrop of the pink sash; at times her skin's colour caught her off guard all over again. "That's not necessarily a good thing. Fear goes a long way to enforcing social constructs and can be considered quite the force for the general good."

"Then tell me what you're scared of!" He threw his arms open, framing an invitation with sudden verve. "I can't be imagining it's all that much!"

"It is a depthless mystery that I can gather the strength to resist such gilded persuasions."

"There'smotherfucking nothing to be ashamed of! Most everybody's getting nightmares. It's nice," Gamzee said meditatively. "A thing we all share, all of it bringing us closer together."

That triggered a mood swing. He looked down at the grass, a few fangs bared further in a scowl, and she felt the instinctive force of his mind billow outward and scrape resonance from the curving of their bubble-world. It wouldn't break the bubble; for now it seemed that he didn't mean it to. A waste, she thought, and told herself not to.

The thing about him was the yearning. That might be something that was at the base of him - the wait for wonders. Gamzee had all his answers, though the rationality and logic there might be lacking (so incredibly lacking), but he was always ready to accept more. With all the power that had so suddenly awakened ton he went actively hunting for more, and nothing said enough, and maybe nothing would.

That really wasn't the way to think of it. Jade or John would try to work through this kind of thing. She ought to; the various forms of psycho-analysis she had studied were intended to be used in helping patients.

Instead she did no more than to listen to echoes. There really was something viscerally satisfying about this anchor of believing that you were not alone.

Something of Gamzee pushed outwards, so she drew the gravity of their world into a tighter knot - sucking everything abruptly and queasily inwards, wrenching herself down until her feet scraped grass seeds and making her shiver with the off-balance knock to her own mass. Gamzee gasped alongside her and clutched at the ground like it was leaving.

Rose <3 Gamzee, 2/2

from: anonymous
date: Sep. 13th, 2011 09:14 pm (UTC)

There was instinct in the way he pushed back with a surge of aggressive power, and blunt-instrument intellect in the fact that he kept pushing against the bubble and let her ink-shadows wind around the meat of the little world and of him, cracking his perception of it that allowed him to stay here. He grinned back at her and they both knew better, and they played with it.

He didn't know the power of the horrorterrors and hardly cared about it, but he fought with and through and into it like he was made for it.

Rose closed her eyes and let a strike from his mind land, shoving her outwards to the stars. She breathed, remembering how as she did it. A mind and other miscellanies, in a body, in a bubble. With a boy.

She opened her eyes, looking down at Gamzee who was staring and grinning at her. "It's about time to go."

"Yeah, sister?" The grin faded.

"Can't keep the fighting to all ourselves."

"I guess it's like the sooner we go, the sooner we can come back!" Gamzee spat out, but didn't move. Perhaps the illogic niggled at him; he'd spend more time with the others the sooner he left, after all, and would have cause to call and be called traitor for longer. He missed them so much, though probably even he wasn't certain as to whether it was as friends or foes, or possibly also food. Rose had theories about the place of cannibalism in troll society.

But that was all part of temporary respites from the fact that the forces behind all their entwined fates required discovering, persuading, and breaking. The others needed them to help. She was still Rose Lalonde, not so broken as yet to disregard that.

"This might cheer you up. Since we were quite serendipitously been speaking of hearts, it's very appropriate to keep in mind. There's a saying," said Rose, "the kind of slogan you'd see all over embarrassingly earnest online forum signatures. 'The heart is a weapon the size of your fist. Keep loving. Keep fighting.'"

She grinned.

The revelation dawned on him in its own time; he let it roll over and rise up inside. He grinned back, and started to laugh. It could be said that Gamzee had a very physical sense of humour. It was going to be just fascinating to see what he'd pull out of the jokerkind specibus now.

"Sounds like you!"

"That I'd be so trite."

"Sounds like it might be me." Gamzee stood. "Now. Who's heart am I having today, chica?"

"Won't it be interesting to find out?" She had warned the others she might be taking this kind of tactic; they'd probably understood, and were generally capable of keeping out of the way even if they hadn't.

"Talk to me. Tell me. Be all made of guidance."

Rose shrugged. "If you want voices, they'll come as soon as we step out of here."

"Something to be scared of," he said, wistful again. Did he mean her or him? (Would she ever ask?) "But like you said, it's a good thing."

Outside the bubble he could not understand her, like everyone else alive. He missed her voice then and often said so, but she couldn't let it bother her much beneath the internal immensity of her determination to keep missing it herself. Outside, the grey in her skin darkened, determined to keep her. No matter: Their friends still needed them.

Gamzee held out his hand and Rose extended hers. It was all the guidance she'd be able to offer in a moment, but honestly, it seemed as if it provided most of what he needed.

Believer, believe in me.

She still had a few seconds to say it in as outer darkness drew them back into a more independently tangible universe. But maybe it was the only question he ever asked and the same answer that she always gave, in the place where she kept him safe for the others and he helped keep her whole.

A humanstuck AU, preferably set in middle school. Vriska has a crush on Karkat and it's pretty obvious - to everyone but Karkat. Everyone else notices the way she stares at him during class, flicking him notes when they're supposed to be doing a test, sitting with him at lunch, walking home with him. Everyone tries to tell him about it in their own way, some subtler than others, but Karkat remains oblivious. Eventually, Vriska tells him herself.

Bonus!1: Redhead Karkat with freckles! My ultimate weakness.

Bonus!2: If it's set around or on Valentine's Day and involves anonymous chocolates, that would be nice!

I really want this to happen, and I only want one thing: Karkat's blood color is changed. Everything else is up to the author. I mostly want to know his reaction, but if you include other troll's reactions that's cool too. Like I said, everything is up to you.

Eridan/Gamzee, fluffy.

from: anonymous
date: Sep. 25th, 2011 10:22 am (UTC)

In my headcanon, Eridan has always been quick to "fall" for others because he's trying to fill the void left by Feferi, and would just settle for *anyone* as long as he has someone there again.

My request is this: older!Eridan (IDK, late teens, early 20's, any age really works) has long given up on pursuing anyone because who's he kidding? And he's pretty sure everyone hates him by now. The void is still there. Long after the events of the game he ends up reuniting with Gamzee, who's still his chill, f-bombing self, and discovers that this isn't a rebound: his red affections for Gamzee are real. At first he thinks Gamzee is his moirail, because he can always calm Eridan, but nope. It's more than that.

Bonus points if he's so used to being rejected and turned down that he fights it/freaks out about it at first. But make it fluffy and sickly sweet and maybe even h/c, please, anon!

Two ways you can do this.
a. Annarchy is at the age where she finds kids on the internet and plays video games with them. Hilarity ensues.

b. Sburb, as played by a pair of foul-mouthed genre-savvy twenty-somethings and the sixteen kids of two races attempting to guide them along the 'right' way. Hilarity also ensues.
